I fell into a burning ring of fire
I went down, down, down
And the flames went higher
And it burns, burns, burns
The ring of fire, the ring of fire
I fell into a burning ring of fire
I went down, down, down
And the flames went higher
And it burns, burns, burns
The ring of fire, the ring of fire
On this trip we also visited Bilbao, a city busier than San Sebastián. Bilbao seemed a good melting pot of different cultures and people who have arrived to this place from lots of different walks of life. We visited the Guggenheim Museum, ate lots of delicious food, drank lots of nice Txakoli and walked our way around the city.
The rest of our time in San Sebastián was filled with trips to museums, eating delicious Pintxos, hanging out with old friends and just enjoying each others company. Very much a place to come back to.
After our walk we got the boat back to Pasaia and visited the living museum of Albaola. The museum holds lots of information about the Basque’s sea trading past and also the building of a 16th Century whaleship replica.
We hiked to Pasaia from San Sebastian, the walk was filled with lovely views of the Cantabrian Sea, tons of green vegetation. It was quite tough on the up and down but really enjoyed the walk. When we got to Pasaia, which is a tiny fishing village, we got a small boat to cross to the neighbouring village, Pasai Donibane, which you can see across the bay to enjoy a well deserved lunch at Casa Cámara.
Hello, San Sebastián 👋
This February, we’ve spent some days visiting Paris (France not Texas). We had a lovely time eating delicious things, looking at impressionist paintings, beautiful sculptures and strolling our way around town. I can’t wait to go back and delve deeper into what Paris has to offer.

We treated ourselves to a trip to The River Café to celebrate my wife’s graduation as Midwife. I had Puntarelle, Risotto with clams and cuttlefish, Coda di Rospo and a lovely Lemon and Polenta cake. It really lived up to expectations and I can’t wait to go back for another celebration.
I learned to carve spoons this January and it was pretty fun! 🥄🪵
I’m incredibly proud of my wife who graduated yesterday as Midwife! 🎓💞 I’m incredibly proud for how much she has achieved over the last few last years, for deciding to take on a new career and going back to university to follow and pursue something she has been wanting to do for a long time and not giving up even when things got tough.
Happy new year ✨ 2024 here we come!
I had a fun week in Barcelona, spending time with colleagues, enjoying the festive lights and making delicious pasta. 🍝 ✨
Advent calendar all set, it was loads of fun putting it together 🎄
Every time I listen to this track, the vocals just take you to a whole different world 🌍
Currently on our way back from our lovely trip to Funchal, Madeira 🇵🇹. Had a lovely few days enjoying this gorgeous place, enjoying delicious food and topping up sun levels! Certainly a place to come back again.
How does it feel when it’s quiet and calm?
And will I be denied?
How will it feel when it’s time to move on?
Mother says kneel and pray
When it gets hard, I will roll those sleeves
Life can be so unkind
I will be found on the edge of the world
Where there’ll be no one around
Out on the road that lies before me now
There are some turns where I will spin
I only hope that you will hold me now
Till I can gain control again
Feeling such a huge range of emotions after having seen “20.000 especies de abejas” from Estibaliz Urresola Solaguren, it was a beautiful piece of work. 📽️
Just learned about the term “in-yun” while watching Celine Song’s film “Past lives”, such a beautiful sentiment. Also a gorgeous film, I can’t wait to rewatch it.
And so, yesterday I married my best friend, my life partner, my beautiful wife, Anna, and I couldn’t be more happy 🥰
